The Museum of Modern Art
This event has ended.
One of the most significant and influential artists of our time, Martin Kippenberger (1953-1997) produced a complex and richly varied body of work from the mid-1970s until his untimely death at the age of 44. This ambitious, large-scale exhibition includes key selections from his entire career: paintings, sculptures, works on paper, installations, multiples, photographs, posters, and announcement cards.

Some thoughts on the show and a report of an unscheduled performance by a few kids or drunks on the line to a coat check, using a bunch of coats at post.thing.net by Steve Kaplan http://post.thing.net/node/2533
i usually avoid audio guides.. but I must admit I kind of wished I had one for this exhibition! The show was tantalizing-- it made me want to learn more about Mr. Kippenberger.
