"I Love Japan More Than Ever" Silent Auction and Silent Film
graphite.
This event has ended.
In response to the devastating earthquake and tsunami in Japan, graphite. will be holding a silent auction and film screening on March 31st, 2011. We would like to thank the many artists who have generously donated their work to be a part of this event.
All proceeds from this event will be donated to a non-profit organization, JHelp (http://jhelp.com), which is dedicated to helping earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. Currently they are working to bring food, clothing, blankets, water, etc. to the people in the Tohoku region where the tsunami hit hardest. They have been granted special permission to use restricted roads for transporting goods, and they are the only non-governmental non-profit organization with a 24hr/7day emergency assistance. We are close with the organizers, and are confident that our donation will be put to good use. The recovery and mourning in Japan has just begun. The crisis could get even worse, depending on what happens next at the Fukushima nuclear power plant. Now, more than ever, the Japanese people need our help and support to get through this crisis. Please come and join us for a fun night and a good cause.
